This past Summer (2015) the Media Center got a make-over!
Tara Harris had been volunteering in the media center with Mrs. Boston during the 2014-15 school year. When the new building was completed and Mrs. Boston found out that Tara was a decorator she asked Tara for some decorating ideas.
Tara asked a few questions and came back with a design board with all her incredible ideas. Mrs. Boston loved all the ideas but was wondering how it was going to happen financially. A month or so after that first design meeting Mrs. Boston got an email from Tara Harris and Brian Eastman saying they were going to donate $1,000 to the project and Brain’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Eastman would match that donation to complete the project!
Tara got right to work hiring painters and went shopping for all the fun tables, chairs, stools, tents, signs, frames, and puppets. They painted chalkboard walls, accent walls, turned pillars into palm trees, plain walls into educational galleries with historic documents and heroes, famous paintings, and replicas! Gavyn Eastman even donated some of his own stuffed animals that hang from the trees.
Everyone that walks into the media center feels the affect of this generous donation!
