Calling ALL Rising 4th & 5th graders
Ms.Boston and Ms. Reed are looking for our Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl team for the 2018-19 school year. If you are interested in trying out for the team please start reading the following books! We would like you to read each book at least 2 times and practice possible questions that will be provided to each teammate in the fall. Rivers 4th and 5th grade Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl team competed on the County level and won second place! The children had to read 17 novels that were nominated for the Georgia Children's Book Award and be ready to be quizzed on the details of the books! We then competed at the Regional Reading Bowl at Clayton State University on February 13th and had a very respectable showing! Our team members this year were Wyly Wickland, Hannah Kauffman, Anna Hardee, Lizzie Hart, William Green, Lucy Bybee, Bella Drummond, Paige Clayton, Kailey McGrady, Adain Munroe, Alexis Ludbow, and Malley Coogan.
